The altar of Zeus is located on the southern peak of Mt. Lykaion at 1382 m above sea level. The lower sanctuary including the hippodrome, bath building, stoa, seats, fountain house and administrative building is found 200 m lower in a mountain meadow. Halfway between the two areas is the Agno Fountain house.
